DAW 2024 - May 25 to June 9, venue 189: Dick Hewitson

Dick is exhibiting in the 2024 Dorset Arts Weeks, at his home / studio, venue 189, Oakley Lodge, 31 Brook Lane, Corfe Mullen, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 3RD.

The DAW Guide, Dorset Arts Weeks website and the DAW App. all have clear directions to the venue, but just in case you get lost nearby, here they are again: From top of Haywards Lane, turn right into Brook Lane. Along Brook Lane, at de-restriction sign, lane divides into two. Keep straight ahead. House first on left after fork, by large Oak. Parking in drive or road nearby.

Below: 3 Landscapes, oils. The majority, like these, are Dorset landscapes. There will be a number of these works in his DAW show, mostly framed, and 'on the wall'.

Drawing is very important to Dick's practice, though most of his drawings are in sketchbooks. Some of these will be available for viewing in his exhibition. Plein Aire field sketches have contributed to the development of many of his paintings. Below, drawings, sketch books etc.

The wall - hung works will be in four separate groups, and each of these groups of works will be catalogued for easy reference. Please note that this show will only be taking card payments or cash, not cheques. There will be lots of cards for sale, and a small number of Giclee 'prints' of Dick's work.
